Melissa Duke, M.A., CCC-A, is originally from West Tennessee and has
called Knoxville home now for 14 years. She received her Bachelor
of Arts degree in Communication Disorders in 1996 and a Masters of Arts
in Audiology in 1998 from University of Tennessee. She began working at
Greater Knoxville ENT soon after graduation which was approximately ten
years ago. She really enjoys all aspects of audiology, but especially
working with hearing aids. It is so rewarding to help others regain
their ability to communicate and connect with sound again to improve their
quality of life. Melissa is a fellow of American Academy of Audiologists,
and a member of American Speech Language Hearing Association. She
is married and has a son that is five years old. She enjoys serving on
church committees that serve the local east Tennessee community.
Amber C. Bass, M.S. CCC-A is a native of Arkansas. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Ouachita Baptist University in communication disorders in 2003. Mrs. Bass obtained her Masters of Science degree in audiology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and has practiced audiology since 2005. Her areas of expertise are in general audiology, pediatric audiology, electrophysiology, vestibular testing, and hearing aids. Mrs. Bass held a graduate assistantship at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in which she obtained previous pediatric experience. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Audiology degree through the University of Florida, which she will obtain by May of 2008. She is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed with the state of Tennessee. Mrs. Bass is married to Dr. Chris Bass who practices Veterinary Medicine in Roane County. Personal interest/hobbies include traveling and playing the piano.
Susan M. Porter, Au.D., CCC-A, is originally from East Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration in 2003. She received her Master of Arts degree in Audiology in 2006 and completed her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in May of 2008, also from the University of Tennessee. Susan spent the last year in Memphis completing a clinical fellowship at a private audiology practice. She joined Greater Knoxville ENT in June of 2008 and enjoys offering a wide array of audiological services, including diagnostic evaluations, hearing aids, and electrophysical and vestibular testing. She is married to Dr. Samuel Porter, who is a radiology resident at UT Medical Center. Susan enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.
