William Steele, M.S., CCC-A, was born in St. Louis, MO, but grew up in western Virginia. He attended Radford College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work in 1976, and a Master of Communication Disorders (specialty in Audiology) from Radford University in 1984. He is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He has practiced for 27 years, and has experience in hearing aids, balance testing, and cochlear implant programming, working primarily in physicians’ offices. Mr. Steele has lived in Knoxville since 1994. His wife, Bobbie, is a Knox County school teacher. They have two adult children, one other in high school, and have four grandchildren. Hobbies include reading, golf, racquetball, and photography.
