“I knew from the moment I first set foot in an operating room
during medical school that I wanted to be a surgeon. I chose
otolaryngology because of the variety of challenges and procedures it offers.”
Dr. Baker received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and her medical degree from the UT Health Science Center in Memphis. After medical school, Dr. Baker did a surgical internship at Methodist Hospital in Memphis and did specialty training in otolaryngology at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.
After completing residency training in Arkansas, Dr. Baker and her husband moved back to their native Knoxville. Her special interests are Pediatric and Adult Otolaryngology and nasal and sinus surgery. In her practice, Dr. Baker says she enjoys seeing both children and adults reach full recovery and live a better quality of life.
Dr. Baker has served on the Physicians Medical Education and Research Foundation, which provides raises and distributes money for scholarships and research.
She enjoys running, cycling and travel. She recently completed her first half marathon has a member of Team In Training.
