“Developing
a relationship with patients and being trusted by people in a time
of their greatest need is what makes medicine so gratifying.”
Dr. Rosenbaum first became interested in medicine while doing volunteer work in a community health program as a high school student. His attraction to the field intensified in college through a part-time job in a biology lab. A research project in the ear, nose and throat (ENT) department at the University of Chicago convinced him to choose otolaryngology as his medical specialty.
His choice of ENT was based on the importance, from birth throughout life, of these different and challenging systems of the body. In addition to otolaryngology, Dr. Rosenbaum pursed additional training in the treatment of allergies and sinusitis. He passed the Board of Examination of the America Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and is a fellow of that organization.
Dr. Rosenbaum has served on several committees and panels that seek to broaden access to healthcare, and he has been a member of the Medical Executive Committee of East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
In his leisure time, Dr. Rosenbaum enjoys travel, golf and reading. He and his wife, Valerie, have a son, Joel.
